I’ve had a frustrating experience trying to get in touch with admin. Even for simple questions, it takes forever to get a reply, and when they do respond, the communication isn’t always clear. It just leaves you waiting around and guessing what’s going on.

"Literally a lifesaver for my chaotic schedule"
My schedule is all over the place, so I needed something that could actually keep up with me. This fits into my busy life so well it’s almost ridiculous. I’m acting like it saved my entire calendar from total collapse, but that’s how helpful it’s been.

I had a good experience with Walden while I was working on my dissertation. My chair and the writing support team were helpful when I got stuck, especially with formatting and trying to make my chapters sound clearer, or just... make more sense overall.
Feedback did take a little while sometimes, not gonna lie, but they did answer my questions and helped me keep going. The whole dissertation thing can feel really isolating, so having that support mattered. I’m just glad I finished there.

Using the online classroom was frustrating. Pages took forever to load, the alerts were confusing, and checking my grades felt like it took way too many clicks. When I reached out to support, the replies didn’t really help much either. I found myself getting annoyed almost every week, and a lot of it felt totally avoidable

"My advisor treated me like a real person"
I had a really positive experience with student advising at Walden. My advisor responded quickly and helped me sort out which classes to take next in a way that actually made sense, without making me feel dumb for asking questions.
I was stressed about my schedule and deadlines, and she took the time to break things down and even checked in with me later. That kind of basic care goes a long way, and it made me feel like someone was genuinely paying attention instead of just rushing me through.

"Fair tuition, even though I was torn at first"
I’ll be honest, I was kind of loyal to another school I had been looking at for a while, so switching my focus to Walden wasn’t an easy decision. But when I really compared the tuition and what I’d be getting, Walden just made more sense for my budget. It’s definitely not cheap, but the cost felt fair, and I was able to plan out my payments without feeling too overwhelmed. For me, it ended up feeling like the better value.

Classes were fine overall. Some teachers were great, but the coursework felt a bit uneven.

"Helped me move up at work"
I finished my program last year, it helped me stand out more at work. A few months later, I ended up getting promoted. The classes were manageable while working, though of course you still have to put in the effort. It wasn’t always easy, but it was definitely worth it.

"Financial aid help felt like pulling teeth"
I really wanted to have a good experience with Walden, but dealing with financial aid wore me down. I kept having to call and email just to get basic answers, and after a while it started to feel like I was begging someone to help me with something I already needed handled.
What made it worse was getting different answers depending on who I talked to. One person would say one thing, another would say something else, and I was left trying to figure out what was actually happening with my aid. It made planning payments way more stressful than it should have been.
The classes might be okay, but the financial aid office really needs to do better with follow-up and clear communication. For what school costs, I expected more support, not to feel resentful every time I had to chase them down for an update.
